Neither building walls nor open borders solve the problem of why people seek asylum here. How can we help them?

I personally think immigration reform is required. There are too many liberties given to those who get here illegally, and there are too many restrictions imposed on those who want to do it the right way. Like it or not, there are thousands of illegal immigrants in the country right now that do work that no one else wants to do, and they do it with happy hearts, and they have been doing it for years and so long that this may as well be their home. I don't think it would be right to just kick out those good people who came here to have a better life, but it's also not fair to those who wait and wait and wait and try to do things the right way and still pay dearly in both time and money (and headaches in dealing with agencies) only to finally be able to pay taxes (yay) and get a passport. I have several friends in both categories, and both parties express lots of grief. There has to be a better way. Give illegals a penalty free means to finally become a permanent citizen but have to go through the proper channels, and ease up on the ones that actually want to do it by the books so they can realize their dream. And after reform, if there are still those that want to enter illegally by crossing the fence/wall/whatever, deport them. I just think the current process is broken.

Maybe take all the federal abortion funding, new green deal funding, and the like and use it to help illegal immigrants to jump through the right hoops to become legal denizens of the US, whether that be citizens or non-citizen nationals.

Well better to make sure women can kill their babies rather than help in eradicating gang violence and improving currupt governments as well as assisting in establishing better infrastructure for a country dying of poverty. Also, white people aren't as privileged as many think, take me for instance, I'm Puerto-rican, Polish, Irish and a few others, my skin tone is white, my heritage is Hispanic.

Back to the point, if white people are so "privileged" then how come we don't get free scholarships, etc. Blacks have way more "free" things than white people ever could attain, though the money is raised through taxes which will increase because of this.

Help the countries from which the immigrants are coming from to stand on their own two feet. Open borders don't work, as immigrants will face persecution and people can lose their jobs, but walls are arguably worse, due to the brutality that can be shown. To stop the immigration crisis, it's simple. Provide aid for the countries that are struggling financially and stop war in countries affected by it. That way, fewer people will want to move to other countries, meaning that the ethical and economic issue is solved

We don't 'want' anyone to abort. I have explained this countless times. There is a common misconception that pro-choicers want people to abort. No. If you want to abort and it isn't something like rape, pedophilia or the mother's/child's life is in danger, you probably shouldn't. The same goes for children from something like a one-night stand, or parents that aren't ready to raise a child, or parents that will actively abuse their child, for things like child porn to raising psychopaths and murderers (face it, the majority of killers do so because of abuse as children). However, if the parent still wants to go through with the abortion, believe me, you want to let them. Illegal abortions are easily 10 times worse. No proper cleanliness, no trained professionals. Just no.
