I can explain why imgflip has so many points.

You might notice that the owner of the Memes_Overload stream has a huge amount of points while only having 6 featured images. The reason behind it is because he gets points when people follow the stream that he created.

And now Mr. Imgflip is the owner of the fun stream. And people automatically follow that stream when they make an account, so he gets a huge amount of points just from the fun stream existing.
