The rub is that when it comes to recycling technology has taken a move ahead. When it comes to the technology level it is already possible to make robots and computer recognition software sort out tons of trash fully automatically, and as such also sort out stuff which can be recycled from that cannot be.
The point is that not all countries use this technology yet and that it also goes against loads of things politics have tried to set up over the years and going for this more efficient ways of working could therefore lead to discredibility, so yeah, they do try to reject this.
Now that trashcan may either be a hoax (either photoshopped or being a can placed hoping to fool people, would in both cases still be a hoax) or actually be placed because its contents will eventually be brought to a trash processing company using this intelligent robot technology making it no longer matter... That is what I wonder. What I do know is that I've seen different versions of these kind of trashcans, and knowing this technology exists makes me wonder about this....
