Your meme is a false dichotomy. Most wealthy people didn't get that way simply by hoarding their money like Scrooge McDuck. No, instead they invested their money in themselves and their own companies and created jobs. Look at people like Henry Ford all the way through Bill Gates. Ever hear the phrase "I never got hired to do a job by a poor person."?
I do agree, however, it's important to do some good with your money for others, whether it be creating jobs, donating to charities, etc., and that's where the Matthew passage comes in.
