Was fun until 1.4 ruined my Moonlord strat

(Killed around 50 of him before I stopped)

thats the point he cant be easy

Of course it did.
They don't want the final boss to be easy.

He wasn't that easy, I spent 15 gold each fight using the nurse for heals.
Only a few weapons really worked.

There's a little something called an army of minions that helps quite a bit.

Yeah my stardust cells helped.
But it's still a good 5 minute boss battle for me.
Although with a ton of minions and summoner armour, you do lose benefits with other weapons and have less defence (I prefer solar armour)

Stardust cells are NOT the minions I was talking about.
And summoner armor? I'm talking pre-Moon Lord stuff, by the way.
Plus, the defence loss from summoner-based gear doesn't matter if you just don't get hit.

You're always getting hit when you do my strat.
You're in a box, basically, with some movement space.
Simple protection from the stuff that WAS blocked by walls.
The damage isn’t much, but it's significantly more impactful with armour that doesn't have much protection.
The moonlord had a couple attacks that went through walls, and they didn't have too much of an effect on me.
(But this is imgflip, I stopped playing a couple years ago and my bacon's finished cooking.

i just started terraria and im trash, do u have any tips?

1 loot the surrounding area till u die and get ~200 wood.
2 find lots of random ores check the stats for the best pickax then get mix matched amour
3 get fallen stars at night make arrows and combine them with stars to make jester arrows
make a good bow and a really long platform bridge.
find a demon alter (scary glowy tables underground)
make a suspicious looking eye with 6 lens from demon eyes (flying eyes at night)
fight the eye of chathulu by shooting with jesters arows (from the stars) and running along the bridge
if u fail make ur bride bigger
also try to get as many heart crystals as possible
