there is a man named jesus (hes a god) and long ago he was crucified on a cross because he loves you so much that he did that to remove all of your sins from past,present,and future.
and now he is heaven waiting for his time to come back to earth so he can take everyone who is saved by him to heaven for all eternity. in which sparks yet another question.
