DOES RIGHT AND WRONG REALLY EXIST? As a former-follower of the New Age movement, I did not believe in absolute truth because I accepted the false teaching of "Moral Relativism" that says no one can tell me about truth because I get to make up my own truth for me, deciding right from wrong. Whatever is true for me is right for me and what is true for you is right for you. And everyone had to respect my decision, back off, and not tell me what to do because, again, I get to decide. But I was never challenged with a common-sense analogy or even the simply fact that there is right and wrong, both of which are even engrained in us from birth. Romans 2 talks about the universal moral law given to each of us by our Creator. An easy way to demonstrate and witness to a New Ager that is hooked on Relativism is this simple analogy: Ask a
person to give you their wallet or purse so you can demonstrate. Then grab it and literally walk away. And I mean walk. Don't turn around. Just keep walking away because 100% of the time they will say, "Hey, stop!” You: “Why?” Them: "You've got my wallet.” You: "So?” Them: "Give it back!” You: "No.” They'll say something like, “That's not right." And you say, "Hey, in my world I just determined it was right.” Them: "But you can't do that." You: “What gives you the right to say it isn't right?" They'll slowly figure out you are right. The Bible says it’s inherently wrong to steal or murder and God wrote His law in our hearts. Paul said no one has an excuse. We all inherently know right from wrong so we don’t decide it. Hopefully our wallet-snatching victim will make the next logical conclusion, which is this: "Wait a second. That's a universal moral law. Where did that come from? It must be from the universal-moral-
law giver. And I've broken that law so I need a savior.”
