These messages are ANNOYING and pointless

We understand your frustration! However, we get a lot of spam accounts that are made purely to spam websites or harass other users. That is why it only applies to users with 1000 points or less. If there were no timer in place for new users then the site could potentially get flooded with unwanted junk. Hopefully this explains why that is in place.

I see you are now above 1000 points, so that particular issue should not apply to you anymore. Congrats on that and happy memeing!
