That violent, abusive post and hundreds of others like it in conjunction with the Jan. 6 riots are what pushed Amazon to pull its hosting.

If Parler can find alternative hosting, they’re free to do so.

But that web host would be under no obligation to platform their content either.

But forcing private companies to platform certain kinds of content would increase the size of government and mess with the First Amendment in its own ways.

My preferred solution is for people to not be bigoted, hateful, treasonous online trolls and they wouldn’t have this problem.

But, fact of the matter is they let hateful and violent content run wild. The minimal-to-nonexistent moderation business model of social media appears to be collapsing under the weight of user irresponsibility.
