HOW DO WE KNOW THAT KARMA AND REINCARNATION ARE FALSE TEACHINGS? Both beliefs are taught by Eastern religions and the related New Age movement. One of the many tragic results of these doctrines is that believers are taught not to acknowledge or help with the suffering of strangers, neighbors, or even friends. They teach that those who are suffering need to work through their affliction alone because the issue is their own fault and their struggle is what they supposedly deserve. They claim a deformed person, someone with a malady, or even a mother and child starving to death are in that situation because they were probably somehow a rotten person in a past life; maybe the mom and child were greedy with food. Completely contrary to biblical teachings like that of the Good Samaritan, they claim helping would only cause the person to repeat the suffering in their next lives until they are able to go through it on their own. PRAISE GOD THAT IS NOT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS! Instead, God created paradise but sin entered this world where He granted us free will to decide whether to follow and love our Creator, or not. With sin, suffering followed. But God so loved the world that He gave us His Son, allowing us all to be forgiven even though our sin nature causes suffering for us and others. The good news about God sacrificing His own innocent and sinless Son, is that we were given a free gift to be forgiven for our sins if we'll just accept His way out of our sin mess. There is great hope and it will not take each of us a supposed million lives, living as a tree, bee, flea, and whatever, to supposedly work our own way to heaven. We can be assured right now, today, that upon our death we will be saved away from this messed up world to be in heaven where there is no suffering. The alternative is hell, an eternity of suffering. Those stuck in Eastern religions and New Age have no assurance of a positive afterlife or any afterlife at all. The very basic tenants of Christianity that we take for granted are music to their ears. Please keep that in mind when you run into folks caught in those abusive false beliefs.
