But one clearly has to be smart enough to be able to ask for what one doesn't know.

Humans are endotherm, they generate heat. The counterpart is Exotherm.
Endotherm is defined as chemical reaction(s) which causes a generation of heat(transformed).
Exotherm is defined as a chemical reaction(s) which sucks up heat resp. cools down.
