JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: This is an unique anime for many reasons. It has a very different artstyle and has a new setting+ characters each part, although some characters from former parts make appearances. The manga is very old, having begun in 1987, and it is still going on today. The anime is fairly new, having started in 2012 and has 5 parts animated so far. The first part of this anime, Phantom Blood, Lasts 9 episodes and covers the story of Jonathan Joestar. Phantom Blood is regarded as the worst JoJo part to many, and it serves as a roadblock to many prospective JoJo fans. This part, however, sets up the rest of the series and is vital to watch. Once you get to part 2, Battle Tendency, the pace picks up a bit. There are many different parts, with the current part of JoJo being part 8, Jojolion. JoJo utilizes incredible fights that aren't about pure strength, perfectly written characters, such good fashion that JoJo got it's own Gucci line, and an unpredictable story with many plot twists. The parts are all so different, with one about vampires, one about a trip around the world, one set in a slice of life-ish setting, on about the mafia, one done in the style of the western. Jojo is also undeniably bizarre, with ancient aztec gods, to serial killers, to the United States President. Araki, the mangaka who wrote JoJo, takes influence from western culture, with one of the main characters being based off Clint Eastwood, to the many music references throughout. One thing I truly enjoy about JoJo is the memes. Have you ever seen the "to be continued" and "kono dio da" and "oh so your approaching me" memes? Yeah, all of those are from JoJo. From the hilarious copyrighted name changes, such as Dirty deeds done dirt cheap becoming Filthy acts at a reasonable price, Sticky Fingers to Zipper Man, Green Day to Green Tea, and much, much more, JoJo is an incredible influence on memes. It also has some very unique things, such as the every present homosexuality, to the use of a female mentor in part two and a almost all female cast in part 6 (including the main character), to the absolutely BANGIN OST, with the legendary song, Il vento d'oro aka Giorno's theme and much much more by the absolute legend Yugo Kanno. These elements make JoJo's Bizarre adventure by far my favorite anime.
