Interesting idea. PRC can certainly afford to lose millions of her own people and have plenty left over for whatever type of action they might be contemplating. I, for one, doubt that the PRC Govt. have been accurate w/ their numbers in terms of dead / infected but that's not a new concept. For sure they've changed US politics, and dealt a blow to most other nations, but how would they benefit from a declining world economy? Still it's an interesting thought. Of course now, we're all gearing up to meet these challenges, and perhaps we'll keep a more pro-active stance vis "Outbreaks" of this type in the future?
