It’s the same logic that people used when they saw Derek Chauvin (white dude) kill George Floyd (black dude).... they automatically think... racism despite the fact that there technically wasn’t any evidence that his doing so was racially motivated yet the entire world jumped to that conclusion.. It’s how the brain is wired. So why is ok to jump to one conclusion but not the other? Basically the point I’m trying to make is that it’s silly and dishonest to think that it’s only people with darker complexions who are profiled. If you really wanna be technical, Warner’s explosion would have to be politically or religiously motivated for it to fit the TRUE definition of terrorism. But who cares? It’s just a word.

I get the logic behind this but you can’t disregard the details that make this case a lot different from other events that we would normally label “terrorist acts.” He gave out a loud and clear warning which DID indeed save lives (although it ruined some people’s by destroying their property) so obviously his goal wasn’t to take anyone else’s life aside from his own which of course is far from the goals of the Islamic terrorists that you’re thinking of. We can argue about the definition of a true terrorist all day but as of right now this guy is a lot different than your typical jihadist nutcase. If this guy appeared to be of middle eastern descent then yeah we both know that people would automatically think “Muslim terrorist” because there would be the high likelihood that he has a Muslim background of some sort and Islamic terrorism IS a real thing. So it wouldn’t be illogical at all to think that it would be a possibility. But this guy isn’t of middle eastern descent, he’s a white dude. It’s called profiling.. EVERYONE does it. It’s human nature.
