Thats so cool! Were the swords in a kit or you legit went and made it from scratch?

I found a stencil online, my dad printed it, I cut it out and traced it on a board my dad found, and then I went with my dad to his job and used the wood-working machinery there. I did most of the cutting and sanding, although he started me off and did some sanding on the first one when I was busy cutting out the second. He also used the drill press to cut the holes for the handle (since it's designed in such a way that the blade melds into the handle and forms the handguard. If you need a visual, I can take a picture and show you in a couple hours, when I get home from a Christmas party).

But, enough about me. Do you have an answer for the question? Or is gift giving not a part of Hanukkah?

Of course there's gift giving on Hanukkah, but not in the way it is by your holiday. Since there are 8 nights, in my family we don't get gifts each night. My parents got me lots of chocolate tho, but in years past its usually just a pj set lol. We had 2 "secret Santa" exchanges in school. Obviously didn't call it that tho.
