I don’t care if you think they are illegal and don’t belong here.
The right solution in that event is to send them back home after a legal deportation process. Not to break up families.
But here we are. Deliberate cruelty was the policy. It was the point. To provide a “deterrent.” To create “examples.”
And the same government that administered this “program” was too incompetent or callous to ever reunite them.
This is just one of the 100,000 broken things about this country that Trump will leave Biden to clean up — and I have no doubt the new Administration will try its absolute best to bring these families together again.
