If the Clone Wars did such a great job building up and slowly changing Anakin into his dark side self, then why is the Anakin up top, only a week before his fall, so different character from who he would be when his descent was complete?
It's a catch 22. The only way to get a a realistic fall to the dark side in Revenge would have been a 4 hour movie.
At 2 and a half hours it was already just as long as studios thought people would watch. So we got some stupid parts in the movie cause there was no good way to go from 'gung ho war hero Anakin' to 'kill em all Anakin' in one movie.
I JUST CAME TO A REALIZATION. THERE ARE LITERALLY TWO DIFFERENT ANAKINS IN STAR WARS. THE ANAKIN IN THE SCENE ABOVE IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON. THESE TWO IMAGES WERE LITERALLY WEEKS APART (IN STAR WARS). I PERSONALLY THINK THE MOVIES DID ANAKIN NO CREDIT AND YOU UNDERSTAND HIM AS A CHARACTER MORE IF YOU WATCH THE CLONE WARS. IN THE MOVIES IT WAS AN ABRUPT CHANGE FROM LIGHT TO DARK WHEREAS THE CLONE WARS SHOWS A MORE REALISTIC CHANGE. THE CLONE WARS SHOWS WHAT HE WENT THROUGH BEFORE BECOMING DARTH VADER. IT SHOWS THE PAIN HE FELT WHEN AHSOKA LEFT THE ORDER, OR THE VISIONS OF THE FUTURE ON MORTIS.
