Oh, them magats are violating a lot of laws, albeit mostly on a rather small scale. Most jurisdications are avoiding to persecute them since it's a lot of paperwork for a small effect.

Even when republicans try to be nice they come across as condescending. I never cared about the job AOC was doing when she ran for Congress, I cared about her message and how she would vote. She has not let me down on either.

Having been on both sides of the server/diner dynamic, I honestly don’t read this as condescending at all. I think they’re trying to be funny, because funny gets hits.

I found it very condescending, though I don’t think they meant it that. But that’s part of problem. Try to compliment her, but focus on her non-government past job. A better compliment would have been to approve of the job she is doing now.

I don't understand people who treat waitstaff rudely over little things. It's been said before, there are people starving in the world and you get to pay someone to bring you a meal you don't have to hunt or even cook! Having the money doesn't mean you're doing the person working for you a favor. Assuming they're doing a decent job, you're getting something of equal value. You're equals in the transaction.
