UPDATE: the CDC have said that approximately 6% of COVID-19 deaths have been from the virus alone, with not one reported comorbidity - as of December 8, the U.S. has had 282,000 deaths from that virus - 6% of 282,000 = 16,920 - this is equivalent to just over 5 1/2 September 11s. And I'm just talking one country here. I'm going to research how many of these deaths were under 65 years of age (even though I wouldn't have wanted the terrorists to kill 2,977 senior citizens on 9/11 either).

I guess that's still a lot in one single day that is at LEAST partly due to the virus. I was looking at total 2020 U.S. deaths from the virus alone (with no other health problems). [9/11 X 5.5]

Correction: many of the deaths on December 9 MAY be MOSTLY due to the virus.
