Also if that actually happens, that put me down to $70,000 left to pay on my $20,000 student loan.

Yep, started at $20,000 plus interest would have been $27,000 if I could have paid it off in the normal way, but 2008 hit and no work for anyone. Then deferment for years caused it to grow because compound interest (which is usury by law) til the interest payments alone are more than I can afford on a monthly basis.

I know we don't agree on everything, but I actually
feel for you on this one... one of the greatest days
in my adult life was the day I finally paid off my Student
Loans. 2008{and more} was pretty bad, but this one
REALLY sux- and not just because of the BIG Pic Items.
