Have you ever had a partner who keeps insisting that they should be allowed to go through your phone because they think you might be cheating even though they have no real reason to think that?

I could talk about this for a long time - but what's important here is, you're acting out of something that DID happen to you, not something you made up as an excuse to abuse your position.
