Nah, used to have a couple in an aquarium. I used to keep critters like that a lot years ago. These were my favorite frogs. I'll post some others in a few days.

Sorry, been offline a few days.
They're only poisonous in the wild. Something they eat in the wild produces the toxin. A friend who knows more about it than me than me says that scientists don't know much about them in tbeir native habitat because they come from a very small area of S. America that's controlled by cartels. Can't confirm that, though. I didn't really handle them though, because they're really fragile and subject to soaking up things that might hurt them from a persons hands...ironic, huh.

Yeh, I heard the same. Interesting critters & beautiful.
Had a lot of personality for frogs.

My favorite animals when I was a kid.
However now I'm against keeping pets.

In the Reptile House at the Bronx Zoo (which I haven't been to since the 90s) they have a nice assortment.

I hate seeing primates & elephants & stuff in confinement.
Reptiles don't seem to care, though. As long as the food keeps coming,
a snake will pretty much sit in the same spot all the time, which I guess
is pretty depressing in itself.
The only animal I keep anymore is my pup. She seems content, ha.

I dunno, leave it open and they always end up booking it.
Their normal life cycles are disrupted, their lives shortened, people do horrible things....

Dogs are the only species that should be kept as pets (provided they have room and aren't left alone), they're practically a symbiotic species with humans...

Thanks, they were my favorites. I had a pair of them & used to make really cool aquariums with moss & waterfalls & stuff. Frog paradise.
