Not an authentic quote. The Democratic Party once embraced progressivism, but has now taken on a neoliberal direction after the GOP.

Not one word of either of these is a real quote. The Socialist Party stopped fielding candidates because nobody was voting for them, because socialism does not have a strong presence in the USA.

Your request for an analogy that changes nothing about the truth of your meme has been noted.

There is a key difference, though. LBJ at least had a physical box that he could point to and say "here it is". No publication of your meme has literally ever been found prior to 1948.
