So why do you feel your up votes aren't registering?

Well I went through the first couple front pages on fun, and upvoted some of the stuff. Then I came back a little later and saw the saw stuff again and it wasn't upvoted, so I did it again and looked how the points tallied and only 1 point added to my account, so I checked my upvotes and saw that only one of maybe 15 memes I had upvoted had registered.
I tried the same on a user's memes, same thing.
It's happened before a few months ago.

Okay. I have seen this. Sometimes this happens. I think it's just a lag or maybe the upvotes don't always show up as a green up arrow when you comeback later, then trying to upvote it again actually removes the original up vote.

On users profiles be sure the memes aren't actually old, sometimes they are crazy old. Up votes do not count on memes older than one month. Also if you are up voting a profiles memes, you may be up voting memes you already up votes in the streams, which would go back to removing the original intended up vote.

Some pages are cached so if you press the back button your browser doesn't actually refresh the page, it just displays what was on the page the first time, which didn't include your upvote. You can refresh to see all the latest votes. We might make this stay better up to date at some point.
