I don't know what was in that first batch, but it seems to have removed the ability to see reality and question absurdities.

For however long it's profitable for the evangelical mega church leaders. As long as they can make a profit off him they'll keep telling their supporters to worship him. As soon as he's not they'll "suddenly" realize all the sacrilegious stuff he's done and try to regain credibility by claiming they were the ones to discover it and kick him out.
