What I don't get is when the left relies on that old saw when they try to narrow the scope of 2A to "you only need A, B, and C for hunting, why do you need X, Y, or Z?" as if the founding fathers wrote the 2A to only be about hunting?

Your right, the founding fathers didn't put the second amendment in for hunting, it was for personal protection, quick mobilization of a armed force for defense of this country and to remove any abusive powers that may want to corrupt the system. The left would love to have their interpretation of constitution be the one we follow, their creative word play is dangerous.
