Not really. I just don't like it when a large and diverse demographic on either side is insulted with a blanket term that really doesn't apply to them.

Sure it does.. They don't call "MAGA cult" for nothing. It is a popular term after all... "Cult" is just a word get over it..

A cult is, by definition, a relatively small group...a lot of people are offended when you use it to describe a large swathe of a demographic. Lots of Trump voters are highly intelligent people who voted for him because they preferred him to the alternative. It doesn't mean they worship him or are so stupid they don't know better. It just means they have a different view.

Now, folks like QAnon are pretty cult-y, but in no way indicative of the larger conservative base.
