They both did good things, and they both did bad things.

boyoboyoboy what a debate this started. as a (relatively) unbiased judge, I'd say u both make valid points in a sensible way (though a passive-aggressive one), and I'm proud of imgflip for having better logic than Facebook or any other social media platform. lets agree to disagree, and kudos to all sides. a political argument has never been so eye-opening, healthy, and refreshing.

- He's developed closer relations with India and Taiwan, which are two critical allies we need on our side.
- He finally ended our outdated policy of trying to prevent NK from getting nukes, which was an inevitability. While he did drop the ball in later negotiations, this was a radical departure from our earlier 'head in the sand' philosophy of putting maximum pressure on them unless they completely denuclearize.
- He chopped the corporate tax rate, which brought big business back to America and supplied us with fresh cash from taxes.
- He rebuilt the military, which had been crippled under Obama.
- He's the first President in decades to not actively involve us in a new foreign conflict.

when will Rithika understand. sigh. | image tagged in when will rithika understand sigh | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Let me tell you the bad things he has done.
He has denied a deadly pandemic that has taken the lives of over 232,000 people.
He has gotten the national guard to throw tear gas at protesters using heir first amendment right so that he could hold a bible the wrong way and take some photos, then lied about going to the church until the pastor said he's never seen trump in his life.
Talked about grabbing pu**y.
Has not done good things with the military as in taking out men from the Middle East.
Has broken the rule John Adams made by not saying bad things about the person who you lose the election against.
Has broken Teddy Roosevelt's rule which is "Talk soft with a big bat" By going on Twitter rants.
Has taken us out of a natural climate group that is trying to stop the bad climate from spreading.
Has not told anyone who he has $400,000,000 in debt to.
Has not mention one thing about SARS in my moms home of Nigeria.
Is attracted to young women. Ex: was attracted to Ivanka when she was 13 and is still attracted to her.
Doesn't support gay marriage.
Cheated his way into collage said by his own neice.
Failed to call out white supremacist saying he's never heard of QAnon even though he watches cable news all the time said by him himself.
Had ties to Russia during the 2016 election which he just got the guy who lied about that to the FBI out of jail. Is the third president in U.S. history to get impeached on 2 accounts of abusing his presidency.
Has taken immigrants away from their kids.
Said Mexicans are taking all the jobs even though Mexicans are minorities and take jobs nobody wants like building.
I could go on for the rest of the day.
Oh let's not forget the way in New York that has all the lies trump has told that is color coded. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

- The COVID response failure has been a disaster at all levels of government, not just Trump.
- Never said that was a good thing.
- Bill Clinton was a pervert, but I guess we can forgive him since he apologized while stigmatizing Trump?
- Explain how keeping large numbers of troops in Afghanistan is doing anything for our country other than wasting lives and money.
- That rule has been broken by politicians for centuries, while regrettable it's hardly something new. Clinton called half the people of the country 'deplorable'.
- Twitter is not a good platform for a President to do anything other than amicably chat with we the people. On that we agree.
- We are one of the cleanest countries on earth and continue to get better, the Paris Accords did nothing but give other governments an excuse to pick on us to cover up their own failings in helping protect the environment.
- He's not legally required to publicly disclose his tax returns, so we don't know the state of his finances.
- I don't know what you mean and don't want to take you out of context, please elucidate.
- Allegations are not proof of guilt in any situation.
- There is a difference between opposing gay marriage on religious grounds (perfectly acceptable) and opposing it on civil/legal grounds (not good). He supports the rights of religious groups to hold their own beliefs without being attacked by intolerant LGBTQ+ activists who think everyone has to accept them.
- Perhaps, but until proof is shown in court we again can't convict him of anything.
- His failure to condemn white supremacy during the debate probably cost him the election, but he has labelled the KKK and Antifa as terrorist organizations and spoken out against them dozens of times. QAnon is trailer park scientology and no real threat.
- The only solid ties Russia had with the 2016 election were the Steele Dossier and its use in obtaining FISA warrants.
- The open nature of the "high crimes and misdemeanors" clause means impeachment can be levelled for a myriad of cases, and I suspect a degree of anti-Trump fervor fueled those proceedings.
- Don't be an idiot and assume white or black folks don't want to work construction and other "dirty" jobs and thus leave it to Mexicans. The fact remains that if a country denies its citizens the right to work a good job and gives that to someone who crossed the border illegally then that country is being unfair. There is NOTHING wrong with preventing illegal immigration.

[Continued]: The problem is no one focuses on how we balance legal immigration, but anyone who immigrates legally is shortchanged by illegals, so I fail to see how any upstanding American would want to deny their fellow citizens an honest job.

Seriously, the fact you think no one of a "pure" race wants to work construction or similar jobs, and therefore they're left to Mexicans, is disturbing. Those are high-paying, character building jobs that teach you a useful skill and appreciate a good day's hard work. Anyone of any skin color with an ounce of sense will recognize that those opportunities are very attractive.

You really don't know what SARS is? That's just sadπŸ‘ŽπŸΎ

I assume you're referring to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, a condition caused by a series of viruses that has plagued humanity for years and includes the COVID-19 virus. That's what most people (including me) think of when they hear SARS, but you mentioned Nigeria, and that specific geopolitical reference leads me to wonder whether there is actually something else in that area other than the current COVID outbreak?

If you don't provide more specific details I can't do anything but guess.

No, you assumed wrong. SARS as in the Nigerian police that has been killing people for years and lie about it. CNN just made a breaking news about it like last week. Trump hasn't said anything about it.

I looked into it a bit. That's sad. :(

That being said, Trump hasn't paid much attention to Africa as a whole. He's not really giving Ethiopia or Sudan much attention either, and those places could use our influence right now for a lot of matters.

And we have the best military and we have England as our number one trading partner. No need for India and Taiwan
[deleted]
0 ups, 4y
Actually there is. Basic geopolitics and understanding of our place in it shows that our primary strength lies in developing alliances with similar-minded democratic countries. Taiwan, which is the last bastion of the legitimate Chinese government and has been so since before WWII, is a key ally if we want to keep China from establishing hegemony in the Pacific. So too is India, as it's a military power that is comparable to China and keeps its ambitions in check to the west. We need them to deter Chinese aggression, and they need us to help sustain themselves. Taiwan especially deserves to remain free, unless you support casting off a true democracy to the rapacious CCP that time and again threatens to destroy it as a country.

While I understand your viewpoint, it's rather limited and doesn't fully reflect the complexities and security necessities of our current interconnected world.

remember January 3, 2020? we almost went to war with iran
[deleted]

Iran wouldn't go to war with us. They're too smart to throw away everything they've built by attacking us directly. Nobody can challenge U.S military superiority. If you plan to tell me that we wouldn't have killed that general if Trump hadn't been President, let me remind you that Obama killed bin Ladin and had Gaddafi deposed, in addition to deploying U.S special operations units in far greater numbers than had been done before.

No, Iran stuck its foot out too far and we stepped on it by killing Soleimani.
