Your second link does not include either Trump or Biden asking for a lockdown and is focused on local lockdowns and business closings that are happening in both Dem and Repub controlled states.

I was responding to the MEME, which suggests a President or Prez elect said so.

I see you wish to throw a fit instead of acknowledging I gave you where the lockdown thing actually came from.

The meme is not accurate. Perhaps I should have clarified in my original question:
Which person is claiming lockdown, Biden or Trump.

Biden gives wishy washy non-answers as per “listen to the scientists” if they advised him to shut down the country. We tried a nation wide lockdown. It didn't work and we've learned a lot since then. Vermont is the best place to look to find ways of lowering risks and they have not locked down. They've just instituted some pretty weird rules actually. Restaurants, schools and gyms are open but you can't go for a walk outside with a neighbor.

That's based on science and contact tracing, finding that restaurants, gyms and schools are doing a good job keeping infection down but people socializing/drinking with friends, are causing the spike they are seeing.

So you expect the government to learn from their mistakes and not have a second wave of lockdowns with a second wave of lockdowns repeating the same mistakes is already happening?
