Giuliani’s smart enough (I hope) to know these suits are doomed, and yet he files or threatens to file them anyway.

This serves at least three purposes:

1. Keeps boss happy because he’s still president and holds the power of the pardon;
2. Gives fuel to a “lost cause” narrative that gives deranged righties a reason to reject Biden’s presidency and be obstinate loyal morons for 2022, 2024 and beyond;
3. Serves as Giuliani’s audition tape for OANN or whatever he plans to do next once the Trump train is off the rails for good.
