Why introduce a destructive force to your own community, when you can force it on someone else with a popular vote?

Eliminate the electoral college which limits the power of the majority to impose their will on the minority, go with the popular vote. Just like Colorado, where the urban corridor East of the Continental Divide popular voted to reintroduce wolves to rural Colorado, but only west of the Continental Divide
