So, statistically speaking, we're either doing really good or, in the alternative, we have a long way to go... | IN 1918 ABOUT ONE-THIRD OF THE WORLD'S POPULATION BECAME INFECTED WITH THE SPANISH FLU. IN 2019 WHEN THE CHINA VIRUS HIT THE POPULATION OF THE U.S. WAS 328.2 MILLION. ONE THIRD OF THAT IS 109.4 MILLION. TO DATE THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN 9.2 MILLION CASES OF THE CHINA VIRUS IN THE U.S. SO WE HAVE 100.2 MILLION CASES TO GO TO REACH THE 33% NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE A HERD IMMUNITY. | image tagged in chemistry cat,covid,covid-19,donald trump approves, statistics, wait what | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

That's probably a testing number. Remember they failed to count asymptomatic people - which is why the mortality rates were degraded from 3-5-15% originally, down to 0.13-.20%. They also believe the requisite percentage for herd immunity is much lower for this one.

We're probably through the worst of it already, but it was too useful as a political football for people to admit the facts publicly.
