Spanish Flu (1918-1919): "It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world's population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States." (Source: www,cdc.gov) And that was before the massive international travel we have today. Oh, and our "over sanitized" germophobic population who have little or no built up immunity system to deal with such things as germs and viruses.

From those statistics, it seems like herd immunity could be achieved at only 33% of the population.

So, statistically speaking, we're either doing really good or, in the alternative, we have a long way to go...

33% for heard immunity is a lot better than 70 to 80% that was discussed months ago. Statistics out of New York City show that people going to urgent cares are testing at 22% positive for antibodies

Progressives have NEVER had any difficulty throwing Woodrow Wilson under the bus for several things. The country has every right to expect a higher standard of leadership than Wilson at this point.
