Back in the 60s my granddad invested alot of his money into house flipping and the stock market.
He was only a prison guard but by the early 90s he had acquired enough money to buy houses for himself, a rental, my mother's house and my uncles.
In effect nobody in our family ever had rent or mortgages.
When I was in my 20s I was working as a delivery driver. I picked up every shift going, asked for training in cooking and a couple years later I opened 3 of my own places.
As soon as my sister hits 18, she gets a car, an apartment and a full time job with decent pay.. literally 2 generations in our family making smart decisions got us from prison guard to the top 10%.
That's it. 2 people in 2 generations. All it takes.
