Yes they are, you may call yourself a Democrat and not believe in Marxist principles, but the party is completely Marxist. This is an earnest question, I'm not implying anything, have you read the 2020 Democrat Party Platform? It is Marxist from the first word to the conclusion. It's not the first time the Democrats have moved away from their constituents, one of their most hated Presidents was a proud Democrat- Ronald Reagan.

I never said I was a democrat. I'm an independent. I have democrats as friends, and they're just like everybody else, there's nothing different.

Good for you. Facts remain facts. The Democrat Party is not the Democrat Party of 30 years ago, no matter what your friends think. They may not be different, but their party is. The Republican Party changed too, Trump managed to bring it back to it's more fundamental values- the precious value of all life, small government, personal responsibility, broadly defined liberty, equal opportunity (not outcome because I can't demand to be a millionaire with no effort), etc.

My son was an exchange student in Venezuela when Hugo Chavez got elected. Getting him out of the country was a challenge so we developed a close relationship with his sponsor family. They tell me people are all but starving to death, dogs and cats are pretty much non-existent as of now. With the increase in rodents, people are changing their protein source. They've had family come to visit from other countries and under Maduro, they barely get out of the country to go home. The money their family brings them is virtually worthless because existence is totally based on barter. If Trump loses the election they are going to risk their lives and try to get to Brazil, they feel things will only get worse if Biden leads the US, with Trump there is hope. Americans don't think about what impact our little elections have worldwide.

chimmels, listen carefully, they are eating dogs because they are starving to death. Venezuela had the second highest standard of living after the US before Hugo Chavez got elected. The average Venezuelan has lost over 20 pounds in the last year, and they weren't an obese population to begin with.
