Why does nobody seem to think of this? Are they claiming inflated losses against insurance too?

If it was my store I'd just let the whole thing get wrecked, claim the whole thing off insurance and move out once the payment comes through.
There's a good chance some stores are doing that... others probably just don't know its going to happen, given that sometimes the local news don't report fast enough + the staff aren't watching tv etc etc
