I started when I was probably 4.
Everyone in my family loves music, its practically genetic.
I lived with my grandparents because my parents were always busy. Anyway, My grandma was clearing stuff out of her storage and I fell in love with their old piano. Its shiny mahogany, the keys were still white, and the sound was very rich and somber. Now there's a lot wrong with me but I don't have bad pitch. So I was figuring out the intro to Welcome To the black parade(my anthem for literally 7 years lol), my grandparents came over and saw me. After that, they started teaching me how to play.
I got pretty good around 5 or 6. Not concert level but what do you do with no internet and no school? Piano. I was at their house a lot but my parents won't let them ship an 80 year old piano to our house just to move it again in a few years.
So everytime I visited my grandparents, My grandfather and I would condition the wood, polish the keys, check for termites all of that jazz. He passed away in January and I haven't visited them since Christmas last year. But they used to say as soon as I was out of my parents house I could get the piano.
