The Democrats panicked because the economy under Trump was better than it ever was under any Democrat and they feared it would mean Trump would be re-elected in a landslide.
This is exactly why Democrats have locked down the cities and states they control so tightly. They had to destroy that economy. Then they paid their "brown shirts" to go out and loot, riot, burn and murder people and destroy small businesses to further destroy the economy.
What they cannot control are the states and cities under Republican leadership. Those places are seeing a boom in their economies again. So the left is trying to tell you that there is move COVID-19 in those states. Even if there is an increase in red states, there is no where in the US had the number of deaths than in blue states. Specifically New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. In those states the Democrat governors murdered the elderly in droves by moving COVID-19 patients into assisted living homes, knowing full well that people over 65 are much more susceptible to COVID-19.
The Democrats are still trying to scare everyone about an illness with a 96% survival rate. This a weaker SARS virus than the one when Obama was president when the United States did absolutely nothing. SARS-1 killed more people than SARS-2 (aka COVID-19).
