This is a brilliant quote by a brilliant economist yesterday, rightly outraged at the Vote by over 300 MPs this week to deny children free school meals during holidays and the pandemic lockdown. With over 1 million children (1/3 of all children in the UK) living in poverty, and over 58000 people dead from Covid-19 in the UK in just 7 months (many of whom were parents who leave children orphaned), this action is beyond reprehensible and deserves to be called out for the callous disregard that it is. A child cannot be held responsible for finding food for themselves, they need to be cared for. It is the very definition of a child! I made this meme because I care.
