Life with ASD

Life with ASD | Life with ASD:
Literally anyone my age: Dude! You have Autism? I met a person that has Austism in passing and that somehow means I know things about it and am an expert!
Me, having a VERY tenuous grasp on sarcasm: "Ah. Yes. This lone occurrence has caused you to gain all the medical knowledge of a licensed psychiatrist. Here, let me tell you what you are going to say. "I know what you go through." Or, "Oh, I'm glad it's you and not me!" Or, my personal favorite, "Well, then you of all people should support not vaccinating people!" One. No, you don't. Two. Glad that I'm afflicted with a near-total inability to understand when a person is using sarcasm or using figurative language to the point where it causes depression, anxiety, and suicidality and not you? Oh, yes. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Finally, actually read the study. They had to retract it; it was disproved. They used faulty data collection means. Also, the rise of ASD cases is in relation to the fact that ASD's definition has been vastly expanded, so naturally the case number is rising rapidly. Now that I've pre-responded, do you have any questions?"
