The delusion among the Trumptards is strong, as this "meme" is evidencing.

John Wayne for example was a Conservative Republican and a bit too obsessed with anti-Communism, but he sure was no dickhead like all the Trumpturds are.

And if he would be alive today, he sure would have taken an adverse stance against Trump.

I can hear him saying it in a movie, that's all. Those that said they would leave the US should have done so IMHO. Those that use what they think is fame of some sort to influence others is a shallow attempt at best, they are just actors, ball players, musicians and so on. Yep, they are people. Everyone has an opinion, but not all will express it. Your necessitous banter that you typed after seeing my work is showing me more about you than I needed or wanted.

Voters identify with another ones ideals, drive, passion and so on. Voters are not politicians, and I doubt that voters are swayed by actors or individuals per say.

Calling people names as if you know them is just as shallow. I am a writer, I did not vote for Trump (even though it is none of your business), and you possibly need to seek help with your temper or go soak your head, which ever helps you through your tormented self. Be well and be better IMHO.

John Wayne might have had more credibility if he'd actually served in the military during WWII.

He had a serious shoulder injury while body surfing. He lost his scholarship at USC because of it. He then got a job arranging movie sets, and the rest is history, as they say.

It is true that he was signed up for a couple of movies and did not try to change his draft staus. I found this on the web, so I will quote it as is:

"Wayne’s guilt over not serving in World War II haunted him for life. Although many of his Hollywood peers volunteered to fight, Wayne himself did not make particularly great efforts to change his own draft exemption. Although he wrote to his friend about wanting to enlist, he kept postponing until he “finished just one or two pictures.” Part of this procrastination might have been because Republic Studios was very resistant to losing their only A-list actor under contract."
