And, we have a vaccine just about done with trials through Trumps "operation warp speed." For all practical purposes, you could say Trump has ended the pandemic. Relax and go about your life. Wear a mask, wash your hands, distance... but, otherwise don't panic and move forward.

Did you miss the daily press briefs? Did you miss when he took over private companies to make PPE and vents. Did you miss "operation warp speed." He did more then I've seen any other President do for any other issue... ever! And, it worked. There were 2 million save and the pandemic is nearly over now.

However, that model was based on a worst case scenario in which the U.S. government did nothing to curb the spread of the virus (not to mention, most of the safety measures were implemented by individual states, not the federal government).

States are currently reaching record highs for new cases. Yeah, it's nearly over.

Cases are fine, it's deaths we need to worry about. Deaths are done. We're dealing with this fine now.

No state went without PPE and any point. No patient needing care didn't get care. We never exceeded capacity. We handles this pandemic extremely well.

I was showing you at the end of this long raging debate. But, if a compliment makes your day better, feel free to take it that way. When you come back to debate tomorrow, try to drop the lock-down fantasies. Even if we locked down 100% from Jan 1 to today, we had zero cases, and then we opened today. The virus would just start spreading now. There is no plan to stop the spread until we have a vaccine. We aren't Korea, so we can't jail people that have it. We can't force people to be traced by their cell phones. We can't mandate in-home temp checks. If you want all that, we need to become a fascist nation, which none of us want.

Freedom isn't free. That's what this country is all about. Americans (left and right) break rules just because they don't like rules. It's in our DNA.

I'm not suggesting a permanent lockdown. We need an 8 week lockdown to hit the cases hard. And stop the spread. You stop the spread, let it bake itself off. Boom, your cases have dropped *dramatically* you re-open mandating face masks and social distancing until there's a vaccine.

Of the first world countries, USA has the highest number of cases per capita.
Of -ALL- reporting countries, USA has the highest number of cases by 2 million. France is in second place with 700,000.

India has 382 people per square kilometer, with a population of one BILLION more than the US. They have a total of 740,000 active cases with ~5k cases per capita.

Are you seeing the pattern? This isn't a China problem. This isn't a virus problem. This is an America problem. Too many people being political about a virus and panicking about their freedoms. Guess what? We are doing the absolute worst to other countries of comparable populations. Brazil, a third world country, is doing better than us.
