Isn't it curious how all the people our media decide to label as "dictators" are nevertheless extremely popular with their own populations, sometimes like in Gaddafi's case doing extraordinary things for people's collective health and living standards at the expense of the profits of multinational corporations?

And how strange how we randomly pick some "dictators" to go selflessly overthrowing in the name of "democracy," but not others?

And even stranger that the ones we pick *just happen to be sitting on top of enormously profitable exploitable natural resources like oil and fresh water aquifers?*

Bizarre, I know.

Good points, and true (at least to a certain extent).

On the other hand...Gaddafi had overthrown the former ruler, he had installed and headed a dictatorship by any standard definition...and he was a terrorist, claiming the lifes of many innocent people.

Of course we could debate now why some dictatorships had been removed while others are at least being tolerated somehow. We could also debate why Common Sense hasn't been buried in Arlington and Captain Hindsight is always too late.

So when Gaddafis people dragged him through the streets of Libya on the hood of a military keep as they tore out his hair before they shot him in the head was their way of saying”Great job”? You’re an idiot and too young or ignorant to even be discussing politics.

Other way around.

I mean, it's not like the CIA ever instigated "spontaneous" uprisings in say Iran or Latin America or anything like that.

Yup it’s gonna suck having to rebuild this country and our standing in the world after chump. Not sure there’s gonna be tears but it’s definitely gonna take work.
