Ok... how is she a hero? It’s not like she was giving food to the homeless. And if she’s continuing to hand out food that the school paid for, then the school is losing money and they have the right to fire her.

tell me how the hell they losing money all the school do is throw out the food after the school is done for the day and she is trying to help ppl out thats why she is a hero duh i know this isnt my post and im sorry to the person who made this post but this person is negative and they need to take a chill pill like damn how u gonna make a negative post abt this not trying to be mean just stating the facts ty and good bye :)
Ok, honestly you’re the one that needs to chill. If you respond this strongly to an opinion on the internet, you have a problem there. I’m just stating my own opinion, you’re allowed to disagree, but you’re not allowed to say it’s wrong.
I mean heres the thing since the school fired her kids are gonna go home hungry and then the parents will see that they didnt get fed then they wouldnt be allowed to go back which means that the school is losing money
That’s a very unlikely chain of events, and the school doesn’t lose money when they lose some kids. So maybe you should learn a little more about the subject before talking about it.
Ok, I shouldn’t have said that, but schools don’t lose money when they lose students, and even if they did, they would probably lose more money from giving away food they paid for
she had empathy for the kids that can't eat and she wanted to make a difference in their lives. She didn't have to do it, but she did and I'm sure the kids greatly appreciated that (while it lasted).
And I realize that she’s giving food to people who can’t pay, but there are other ways for poor people to get food than eating food that the school pays for,
THANK you.
The lunch food isn’t hers to give away.
If she herself paid for the food to give to the kids, that would be perfectly legitimate.

is giving a way a small amount of food that harmful? You are saying if one of those kids was starving you would call her a thief for helping a kid stay alive?
“Helping a kid stay alive.”
Assuming that the children are starving to death without that lunch? Your points are hypothetical, not contextual.

yeah they might not be starving alive but if you were working at a school lunch and you saw a kid starving you would not give a shit, getting a lunch is better than having a painful stomach the whole rest of the day and when she just wants to help them, and is giving food that bad? really? its not hurting anyone expect maybe hurting the school by like 10 bucks
If I saw a kid starving, here’s what I would not do:
Steal food and give it to him.
Here is what I would do:
Buy the food and give it to him.
Or bring the food from home.
Or take the kid out to lunch one day.
“And is giving food that bad? really? its not hurting anyone expect maybe hurting the school by like 10 bucks”
Here is me trying to achieve your logic: “Well, it was okay that I stole those candy bars from the store. They were only $10 total.”
And yes. If she could get away with something like that, then that could inspire even more food smuggling.

I am not saying its ok because I stole candy bars I am saying if someone needs it maybe it is the only option, and that women probably did not have the option to buy a kid food for like 2 more hours, and also have you ever got a lunch with 1 extra tater tot? well if so the lunch worker deserves to be fired
There have been times I wasn’t able to pay at a cash register, and the cashier actually payed for me. Since then, I’ve done everything I can to not let that happen again. It’s great that he payed for me, but I don’t want to take advantage of that.
I’m very very very very sure this whole situation isn’t about one extra tater tot. You’d have to go much farther than that to be fired.
You forgot to add the “stealing” part.
But if you included that, then your statement would be invalid.

well in your logic book putting an extra tater tot would be stealing but a lunch is the only thing that is stealing to you and a lunch is not to big of a deal but you think she should be fired for that than an extra tater tot should be a reason to get fired.
“I don’t know why you’re telling me things I don’t know.”
Then why are you repeating yourself?
“Bruh there’s a retort for every argument.”
No, no there isn’t.
The “maybe” argument is among the easiest arguments to reply to, next to the “nobody asked” argument. That doesn’t mean every argument can be easily replied to.
