Not really, Everton were the original Liverpool club, preceding Liverpool FC by over a decade. Everton were actually the original tenants at Anfield, but they left for Goodison Park, about a mile away, in the 1890s, tbe result of financial differences between Everton and the Anfield ground's owner, who subsequently founded Liverpool FC.
