Many who sat out in 2016 were republicans who now have Trump's record to judge, and a lot of them may vote Trump, particularly now that they see what a train wreck Joe Biden is.

I think it would be foolhardy for Democrats to assume anything in this election, just as it was in the last election, when they assumed their way to 2nd place.

I support Trump, but if Biden wins, it's because he was supposed to win, and then he's my president. I would deal with that as I need to, but I can guarantee that I would not react the way liberals and progressives did after 2016.

New voter registration in the battleground states is majority Republican. Democrat numbers are actually way low, it's the independents that make it closer.

You're first statement is true. Your second statement depends on the state. There are still more Democratic registered than Republicans in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Your final clause is dependent on the Democratic voter turn-out being as anemic as it was in 2016. With over 16 million people having voted as of today, I reckon it won't be.
