When Wales (also!) votes to leave the E.U. | image tagged in wales | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Eh, I think many of them would like a takeback at this point. Many Englanders too, for that matter.

52-48% was an awfully thin margin for such a momentous decision, and before the true costs of Brexit were known.

Breaking up is hard to do ain’t it?

Typical libturds refusing to accept the fair and democratic outcome of a referendum because the voters were "uneducated".

I love democracy in an absolutely unironic sense | image tagged in i love democracy | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Who says democratic deliberation has to end with one referendum vote: a non-binding one at that?

As we’ve seen, “Brexit” can mean a million and one things and there appears to be no majority for any specific Brexit outcome, leading to an ongoing half-in, half-out muddle

Interestingly, the “Brexit” outcome that commands the largest plurality is simply staying in the E.U.

Ultimate sovereignty lies with the people: and if the people want it back, the people can take it back

You only love democracy when it goes your way. This has been made clear by your opposition to Brexit and creation of a new anti-democratic role-play government stream after you were unsatisfied with the democratic process in the original stream.

What is democracy? It’s about the journey, not the goal. | Democracy is not an end-state But a process | image tagged in sloth knowledge is power without words, democracy | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
The point of democracy is not to have elections and then all citizens go home and say nothing about our politicians and the decisions they make until it’s time to vote again.

That’d be more like temporary elected dictatorship.

I think those thinkers who envisioned democracy imagined a more collaborative, hands-on, and ongoing dynamic process between politicians and an informed citizenry.

And the point of democracy is not repeating the same elections until you get the result you like.

The obnoxious faces Kamala Harris pulled during the VP debate still make me cringe.

Mr. Pence is a supremely slick seller of invented BS; he has clearly spent a lot of his life in front of pastors.

"Make the lie big enough" and all that

However, those in the know knew that he was bloviating, blowing smoke, telling revisionist history, and undermining democracy

And it you don't have that intelligence, the fact-checkers do

Is there anything wrong with spending time with pastors? Also, Mike Pence was not undermining democracy; that is the job of the Democrats. And of course you linked to ABC news.

Outstanding move

I think she conveyed the pitch-perfect amount of condescension

She was very distracting and just came of as obnoxious. Good debaters like Mike Pence know that smirking at your opponent often generates negative reactions from most viewers. Pence's calm demeanour contrasted heavily with Harris' unpleasant behaviour and refusal to directly answer questions.
