I agree with the bias concept. But isn’t comedy in general sometimes obscure?
Political jokes are a touchy subject at best. Especially today. It becomes personal to many individuals instead of funny.
I believe Meme humor is a lot like late night comedy. Except on late night comedy shows, Trump is the joke, appears memes are primarily anti Left jokes. Does that make political jokes like beauty? In the eye of the beholder?

Swoop seems to be a reference to sex I’m assuming. I wouldn’t consider anyone of these memes horrible but, I suppose, striving for originality can manifest itself in becoming obscure?
An example may be SNL skits. Some are down right bizarre. You wonder if the writers are wasted being so cringe worthy.
