The reason why they are so special is becuase of its rarity. Thats why its an amazing feeling to finally get one, instead of crafting one like a noob. You get a good feeling, and feel accomplosihed for doing so. Thats why they are precious and a unique item. You wouldn't make wither stars, and wither skulls craft-able would you? If they were craftable, you could make as many as you want and it defeats the entire purpose of them being so rare. Idk about you, but i would rather find one with hard work.

Go out, find a trident, and EARN IT, like a real minecraft pro. Crafting tridents would be an interesting feature, but a recipe for them shouldnt exist.

No. Like saddles, they're a valuable item in themselves, and if we could just make them, it wouldn't be as valuable. It's supposed to be a luxury item that you have to explore and fight for.

I guess, but to have it that rare, shouldn't it at least have something cooler then drowned zombies? I mean poiseidon, the god of the ocean uses it. And satan is believed to have one, so shouldn't it be more of a boss fight to get it?

It's already somewhat easy to obtain, but still a challenge, as drowned zombies can do a lot of damage to you with it.

If it were really easy to get it, it wouldn't be very valuable, and that's not the point of it. On the contrary, with its use and efficiency of use, it would be ridiculous to make it hard to get. That's why it's not too hard to get, but not too easy.

I'm fully aware of what it was based off of, but if it were really to come from that, it would have to be much more powerful than it is.

It's the only weapon that can be used melee and range.

not really, after you get the wither skeleton skulls, there's a way to distract the wither with an animal, and you can very easily kill the wither

It should be made with prismarine (staff) and quartz (pokey things)

I was thinking with prismarine blocks crafted into prismarine sticks, and then regular quartz instead of quartz blocks, but close enough

if you could craft tridents then that would suck.
