Intelligence? Really? Moral? Either one can be "moral" in that they're loyal and love their owner.

Cats are by nature more independent, therefore if one chooses to be by your side it has chosen you. It sees you as an equal, and it chooses to be with you. A dog sees its owner as a master. A cat sees them as a friend.
